Weird issue, not sure how to solve it.
My home network:
Cisco cable modem
pfSense 2.1.4-RELEASE (i386) router/firewall (WAN and LAN interfaces)
IntelliNet 8 port Gigabit Ethernet switch
old Dell Optiplex running Windows Server 2012 for file server
Ubiquiti UniFi Long Range Access Point
pfSense is doing DHCP and DNS for the network. I just did an update to 2.1.4 and reset to factory default settings. Haven't messed with any config at all other than changing the admin password and setting the LAN IP settings.
My laptop on WiFi works great. I can browse any website including Facebook with great speed and no issues.
However, the Facebook Android app rarely loads images properly from my home network. I can disconnect from WiFi and over 4G it works fine. I can connect to WiFi from work or many different public networks and it works just fine. But on my home network, images don't load. I have had this issue for a while with a few different phones. Is there something in pfSense that would be somehow blocking Facebook traffic by default? Is it possible the UniFi config could be responsible? How can I troubleshoot this?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
